Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Teki (“App”, “us”, “we”) collects, uses, and handles your information. As a privacy-oriented app, there is only minimal data collection on Teki.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. This Privacy Policy is intended to be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

1. Data Storage and Collection

Local Data Storage

The App is designed to be "local-first." All information you input within the app – including tasks, rewards, and their types – is stored directly on your device using AsyncStorage.

No User Accounts

Teki does not require you to create or log in to an account. Consequently, we do not collect your name, email address, phone number or other standard personal information.

2. Third-Party Services

While we do not store your data on our own servers, we use trusted third-party services to provide ads, manage subscriptions, and monitor app stability. These services collect and handle some of their own data types.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display interstitial ads within the app. This allows us to keep our app free for users.

For more information, read Google’s Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions & Payments (RevenueCat)

Teki offers users the option of a paid subscription ('Teki Ad-Free'), allowing ad-free use of the App. Payments for this are processed through the Google Play Store and managed via RevenueCat.

For more information, read RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

To help us fix bugs and improve the App’s performance, we use Firebase Crashlytics.

For more information, read Firebase’s Privacy Policy.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Since your data is stored locally on your device, we do not have the ability to view, export, or delete your data for you. This gives you full control:

4. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended to be used by children under the age of 13. Because we do not require sign-ups or collect names/emails, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. However, some of our third-party partners (AdMob and Firebase) may collect device-level identifiers. If you are a parent and believe your child has used this app and would like to stop this data collection, you can do so by resetting the Advertising ID in the device's Android settings and deleting Teki.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
